U.S. issues a new executive order and designations regarding Burma

On 11th February 2021, U.S. President Biden issued a new Executive Order entitled “Blocking Property with Respect to the Situation in Burma.” Further information about actions against Burma can be found in a Fact Sheet published from the White House.

Additionally, on 11th February 2021, the U.S. Department of Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) updated the Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons List (“SDN List”) with Burma-related designations.
