BAFA amends foreign trade regulation

Germany’s ‘Bundesamt für Wirtschaft und Ausfuhrkontrolle’ (BAFA) has announced an amendment to the Foreign Trade and Payments Ordinance (found here). This is the fourteenth regulation amending the Foreign Trade and Payments Ordinance and it came into force on 21st April 2020. The most notable change in this amendment is in § 12 paragraph 3, sentence 3 and concerns the obligation to name the exporter in the export declaration, given that the exporter is not identical to the customs exporter. Additionally, Part 1 of Appendix AL (list for weapons, ammunition and armaments) has been modified in accordance with the Wassenaar arrangement. The data reflecting the updated version of Part 1 Annex AL is available via PST.AG's data feed notification to our customers.
