Additional Huawei affiliates added to BIS Entity List

On 19 August 2019 the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) announced that it will add 46 additional non-U.S. Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. (Huawei) affiliates to the BIS Entity List. These 46 Huawei affiliates are in addition to the 68 non-U.S. Huawei affiliates BIS added to the Entity List on 16 May 2019 (see previous blog post). The 46 additions were published in the Federal Register on 21 August 2019 and came into effect on 19 August 2019.

BIS simultaneously announced that it will extend the 90-day Temporary General License (TGL) granted to Huawei and its affiliates (see previous blog post), effective 19 August 2019, for an additional 90 days.
