Ericsson settles apparent sanctions violation

On 6 June 2018 Ericsson AB (“EAB”, Sweden) and Ericsson, Inc. (“EUS”, Texas, USA), both subsidiaries of Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson (“Ericsson”), have settled a potential civil liability for an apparent violation of the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) and the Sudanese Sanctions Regulations, 31 C.F.R. part 538 (SSR) for an amount of $145, 893.
