Sanctions on Aisha Quaddafi is Lifted
Aisha Quaddafi, the daughter of former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi and, also, a former United Nations goodwill ambassador, was under sanctions since 2014. Under the sanctions, she was banned from travelling and her assets were frozen despite a lack of evidence against her.
After a series of struggle, EU General Court has lifted the sanctions effective 28th of March, 2017.
