BAFA publishes a newsletter regarding "Export Control"

Today, the German Federal Office of Economics and Export Control (BAFA) publishes Newsletter "Exportkontrolle Aktuell Dezember 2017/Januar 2018" regarding the latest amendments made to European and national sanction regulations. This letter also updates the annexes to the EU dual-use regulation. OFAC Sanctioned Iranian Entities

On 4th January 2018, Trump administration and U.S. senators came to the conclusion to tighten restrictions on Iran while keeping Washington in an international nuclear deal with Tehran. The U.S. Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) has sanctioned five Iranian-based entities involved in Iran’s ballistic missile program. As a result of this action, all property and interests in property of those designated today subject to U.S. jurisdiction are blocked.

Malaysia publishes a new CUSTOMS DUTIES ORDER

The Federal Gazette of Malaysia has published new Customs Duty Order and it replaces Customs Duties (Exemption) Order 2013 [P. U. (A) 371/2013]. The exempted entities from this order includes 115 companies, persons, and groups from the payment of customs duty on specified goods. This new order will be implemented from 3rd January, 2018.
